Judul Penelitian
Hidration of α-terpineol from turpentine
Outline:
Currently, Indonesia is still buying compounds terpineol from overseas and most are from China. If this compound is produced from original materials from Indonesia's natural resources, the need for one component of cancer therapy will be solved. Terpineol can be made from turpentine, which is non-timber forest products derived from pine trees.

Research title
Kinetic Study on Esterification of Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) using H2SO4 as Catalyst
Outline
PFAD (Palm fatty acid distillate) is a byproduct of cooking oil plant in based of palm oil. In the process, there will be by-products of about 40%, in the form of free fatty acid and palm oil fraction which has a low freezing point. These byproducts are undesirable in high-quality cooking oil.

Title of Research
Study on Kinetics of Borneol Production from α-Pineneas Derivative Product of Turpentine.
Outline:
In Indonesia, natural resources, such as forest, are so potential to be used. With the vast forest areas in Indonesia, there are many products that can be produced from the forest, both timber and non-timber. For the pine forest, non-timber products obtained from the use of pine tree gum are the main products. One of the main results of the pine resin is turpentine.

Title Research
Production of Triacetin as Octane Booster from Glycerol byproduct of Biodiesel Process
Outline:
Fuel oil is a source of energy with the largest consumption in the whole world today when compared with other energy sources. But now, the current world fuel crisis Today global crude oil prices continue to rise. Many countries, especially Indonesia, are experiencing fuel shortage problem (from fossil fuels) for their own country. Reserves of crude oil that comes from these fossil continues to decline while the number of consumption continues to increase every year, so need to look for other alternative fuels, mainly from renewable materials. One alternative is biodiesel, to replace diesel fuel.
